Meetings and courses
The SRUG Rheumatology Synovitis Course took place at the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh on 14-15 December 2022. It was the first post-pandemic SRUG face-to-face course aimed at novices, beginners and advanced learners. Lectures by Dr. Bruns (Sherbrooke University Hospital, Quebec, Canada), Dr. Allister Taggart and Dr. Gary Wright (Belfast, Northern Ireland) were very well received. The workshops were complemented by demonstrations of scanning various joints and pathologies.
Educational resources
SRUG developed a good relationship with the Canadian Rheumatology Ultrasound Society represented by Dr Alessandra Bruns from Sherbrooke University Hospital Centre, Quebec, Canada, who taught on SRUG ultrasound courses.
Dr. Bruns shared with us educational materials which she and her colleagues developed. The resources consist of the CRUS ultrasonography guide eBooks on inflammatory arthropathies, large vessel vasculitis and guided procedures.
